The workshop was a two-days event.
The first day was Presentations and Discussion:
- Introduction and background information on future wood demands and supply, as well as on current policies
- Case studies from different countries in the UNECE region, highlighting existing challenges in wood supply and existing approaches to handle this issue
- Stakeholders' positions and strategies towards increasing wood mobilisation: Possible approaches and their opportunities and risks.
On the second day, working groups were discussing:
- Strategies for wood mobilization,
- Influence of policy / measures to promote wood mobilization and
- Implication of increased wood mobilization on different sectors.
Each working group will draw conclusions which will be discussed and brought together in a final recommendation for to policy-makers and stakeholders, and serve as input to the Warsaw Ministerial Conference.
