Regional Commissions report on the progress of the Implementation of the New Urban Agenda (2019-2022)
This paper complements the Progress in the implementation of the New Urban Agenda Report of the Secretary-General (A/76/639–E/2022/10) in reporting implementation progress of the New Urban Agenda by the five UN Regional Commissions (RCs). It reflects the activities arising from paragraph 3 of Economic and Social Council resolution 2017/24, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 71/235. It is structured in eight sections, similar to the the second Quadrennial Report, and includes a summary of how RCs reflected sustainable urbanization in their respective Regional Forums for Sustainable Development (RFSD).

This document contains the Economic Resilience Plan for the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The Plan was developed within the context of the United Nations Development Account (UNDA)-funded project “Building Urban Economic Resilience during and after COVID-19” to help the local government strengthen urban economic resilience and build back better post-COVID-19. The Plan was prepared by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) Housing and Land Management Unit working closely with the Bishkek City government and national experts and with methodological support from the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF). Compendium of practices on innovative financing for smart sustainable cities projects
This publication was developed as a part of the United for Smart Sustainable Cities Initiative (U4SSC). The objective of the Compendium of Practices on Innovative Financing is to provide a practical insight on the types of projects that can improve sustainability and smartness of a city, combined with ideas on how they can be financed. Given the focus on financing projects which support achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, innovative financing of urban development projects is critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally. This Compendium builds on the “U4SSC Guidelines on tools and mechanisms to finance sustainable smart cities projects” which were developed also within the United for Smart Sustainable Cities Initiative (U4SSC) and published in 2021.

Digital transformation and land administration / ЦИФРОВАЯ ТРАНСФОРМАЦИЯ И УПРАВЛЕНИЕ ЗЕМЕЛЬНЫМИ РЕСУРСАМИ
Inspired by the experiences of land administrations across the globe during the COVID-19 lockdowns, Digital transformation and land administration – Sustainable practices from the UNECE region and beyond, is a joint publication with Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), which provides a coherent action-oriented reference framework for harnessing technology and innovation for unlocking the full potential of land.
The publication features an assortment of successful case studies on how modern information and communication technologies can accelerate the documenting, recording, recognizing, and monitoring of the different forms of “people to land” relationships, with immediate benefits. These benefits include improved flexibility, inter-agency collaboration and transparency. The publication also serves as a powerful reminder of how land administration cuts across all the principles of the SDGs. /
Идея публикации возникла после выявления факта значительного влияния пандемии COVID-19 на земельный сектор во многих странах. Ключевым выводом стало то, что системы управления земельными ресурсами справлялись, а зачастую и преуспевали во время локдаунов благодаря цифровой трансформации. Во многих странах цифровизация услуг по управлению земельными ресурсами была ускорена. Это явление сопровождалось ростом спроса на фундаментальную пространственную и другую информацию о правах владения землей для правительств и граждан.
Данная совместная публикация была подготовлена Продовольственной и сельскохозяйственной организации Объединенных Наций (FAO), Европейской экономической комиссии ООН (ЕЭК ООН) и Международной федерации геодезистов (FIG). В публикации представлен широкий взгляд на современную сферу управления земельными ресурсами; включены успешные примеры цифровизации сектора управления земельными ресурсами; показаны как преимущества, так и проблемы ускорения цифровой трансформации.
