TOS on Women's Entrepreneurship  was established at the second session of the Working Party on Industry and Enterprise Development in March 2001 for a two year period (TRADE/WP.8/2001/5) 

TOS  mission is to assist Governments and women in the ECE region in fully utilizing women's skills, knowledge and entrepreneurial potential to stimulate economic growth and job creation in their countries, which is a condition to improve living conditions and alleviate poverty (Terms of Reference). 

The Team of Specialists: 

  • collects information on the situation of women-entrepreneurs � 

  • organizes the exchange of best practices involving governments, business community and civil society � 

  • prepares recommendations policies and institutional and legal framework � 

  • promotes national and sub-regional projects (start-ups, E-business an other topics) � 

  • raises the awareness in the member States on problems of women's entrepreneurship
