The Special Envoy travelled to New York during 29 January – 1 February 2020, where he held bilateral meetings with UN senior officials and Member States’ representatives to the United Nations. During his meetings, the Special Envoy shared updates on activities and upcoming priorities, including the upcoming 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Stockholm and the 2nd Global Sustainable Transport Conference in Beijing.
The Special Envoy contributed to the meeting of 20 EU Deputy Permanent Residents, organized by the Head of EU delegation in New York and a dinner hosted by Italian Permanent Representative, which brought together the informal “Geneva Friends of Road Safety” Network in New York.
