EGRM Overview
The Expert Group on Resource Management is responsible for the promotion and further development of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) and the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS).
- Objectives: EGRM aims to enhance resource classification and management practices, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Focus: EGRM emphasizes capacity building, innovation, and collaboration across industries and regions to improve resource management globally.

EGRM Annual Meetings
The Expert Group meets annually at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, normally in April/May.
EGRM Bureau
The Bureau comprises a Chair and several Vice Chairs, representing the stakeholders in the EGRM. The Bureau is responsible for managing and progressing the group's work between meetings.

ECOSOC Endorsements
United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) has endorsed both the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS) and the updated United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC), urging the global application of these frameworks to support sustainable resource management.
- UNRMS Global Application (2023): ECOSOC invites UN member states and organizations to promote the worldwide application of the UN Resource Management System Principles and Requirements.
- UNFC Update (2021): ECOSOC endorses the updated UN Framework Classification for Resources and encourages global implementation.
- UNFC Endorsement (2004): ECOSOC supports the global application of the UN Framework Classification for Fossil Energy and Mineral Resources, later revised and expanded in UNFC-2009.
