On 22 January 2020, the Special Envoy participated in the Roundtable Breakfast Meeting titled “Building Successful Partnerships in support of the Sustainable Development Goals” hosted by the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and AB InBev in Davos.
The event brought together a group of 25 business and government leaders to participate in an open discussion on building successful multi-stakeholder partnerships to attain the SDGs and to learn about concrete partnerships examples.

The event highlighted UNITAR and AB InBev’s joint initiative “Strengthening Road Safety – A partnership to build capacity, drive innovation and deliver meaningful impact”, while presenting opportunities for partnering and for learning about available tools for companies and governments to tackle some sustainable development challenges.
In his remarks, the Special Envoy acknowledged with appreciation on-going joint efforts and commitment of UNITAR and AB InBev towards advancing road safety and relevant SDGs. The Special Envoy took the opportunity to share about the UNRSF and encourage support.
In conclusion, the Special Envoy emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and the opportunity for all stakeholders to contribute to achieving global road safety goals.
