The Special Envoy gave an opening statement at the 24th UNRSC meeting, providing an update of his recent activities including the regional workshops, road safety performance reviews and missions. The UNRSC meets twice a year as an opportunity to share updates among members and to discuss global level campaigns, such as the UN Global Road Safety Week, taking place from 8-14 May 2017. Members also discussed the UNRSC terms of reference and activities of the UNRSC project groups.
