On 26 October 2022, the Special Envoy contributed through to the MSU African Continental Free Trade Area Conference, encouraging stakeholders to use all the tools available (the Global Plan for the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, the UN road safety conventions, the UNRSF and the WB Global Road Safety facilities, among the others) to address the issue in the most affected continent.
