Italy: A high-income country with a population of 59.554 million. According to WHO (2018), Italy has 15th highest rate in the European Union (40 deaths per 1 million population), and the rate is lower than the EU average. Italy has acceded to 6 out of 7 UN road safety legal instruments.
During the mission, the Special Envoy participated in the Inauguration of the National Centre “Assistenza Vittime della Strada Marcel Haegi” and Presentation of Manifesto Città 30 e Strade Sicure e Vitali by Guccione Foundation.
