On 3 March 2022, the Special Envoy met with H.E. Mr. Idriss Abdul-Rahman Al Khanjari, Permanent Representative of Oman to the UN Office in Geneva. On the occasion, the Special Envoy commended the Government for its leadership on global road safety, demonstrated by the co-sponsorship of the UNGA Resolutions on Road Safety. The Special Envoy highlighted the UN’s response to global road safety by providing an overview of key milestones, such as the UNRSF Pledging Conference, the HLM and the Global Plan for the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety (2021-2030).
