01 February 2021 15:30 - 17:00
2021 OECD Forum - SideEvent

As part of the 2021 OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector, ITC & UNECE jointly organized a side session on the 1st of February from 15:30 to 17:00 CET.

Join industry insiders, campaigners and policy specialists for 90 mins of discussion about transparency and traceability in the garment sector. What can the sector do better, differently, or not do at all? How can that change come about? And how can the sector build back better post-COVID?

This side session aims at reviewing progress made under the ITC-UNECE joint initiative for Enhancing Transparency and Traceability of Sustainable Value Chains in Garment and Footwear, with funding from the European Union. In particular, the session will look at tools and methodologies developed to date and share practical lessons learned from 2020 that can help the sector emerge stronger from the COVID-19 crisis and enhance decent work in the garment sector.
