Taking an opportunity of the presence of the Delegation form ICE-CMM in China at COP24 in Katowice the Polish Centre of Excellence organized a coordination meeting in order to discuss the work of both Centres and explore a potential for greater cooperation between the two entities.
The meeting, which was atended also by the Chair and the Secretary of the UNECE Group of Experts on CMM, was divided into two parts:
- the first part consisted of the meeting on the premises of the Upper Silesian Branch of the Polish Geological Institute in Sosnowiec, during which the guests were familiarized not only with the structure and work of the ICE-CMM in Poland, but also with the objectives and the results of the first phase of the CBM project conducted in Gilowice.
- the second part of the meeting featured a visit at the drilling site in Gilowice, where participants were given technical details about the ongoing CBM project, met with experts responsible for its implementation, and were presented with the equipment utilized during the work.
The meeting was concluded by a sightseeing visit in Pszczyna and a networking event.
