In-depth review on health statistics
The Bureau reviewed health statistics in February 2006, and took note of the first joint OECD/Eurostat/WHO Health Accounts data collection in December 2005 and the strong international cooperation in monitoring progress with the System of Health Accounts (SHA).
The Conference raised the issue of better coordination of health statistics in June 2006, and it was discussed by the UN Statistical Commission in 2007 and again in 2013.
Outcome of the review
The UNECE/WHO/Eurostat Budapest Initiative Task Force published a Survey Module for Measuring Health State in November 2012, including a set of questions on health state. The group has finished its work.
WHO and the World Bank developed a Model Disability Survey making use of the results of the work of the Budapest Initiative.
