The HEAT is a user-friendly, evidence-based tool designed for professionals and policymakers interested in valuing the health benefits of walking and cycling. During the session, participants will gain a comprehensive overview of HEAT, including its background and the methodological approach. The provisional programme includes:
- Opening remarks by the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health
- Introduction to the HEAT tool - Prof. Sonja Kahlmeier, Expert in physical activity, sustainable transport, healthy cities, and a consultant with WHO
- Use cases and case studies – Hon. Prof. Nick Cavill, Honorary Professor, Department of Social & Policy Sciences, University of Bath
- Q&A session and exchange with participants.
