Training session on the Health Economic Assessment Tool (HEAT) for Walking and Cycling

The HEAT is a user-friendly, evidence-based tool designed for professionals and policymakers interested in valuing the health benefits of walking and cycling. During the session, participants will gain a comprehensive overview of HEAT, including its background and the methodological approach. The provisional programme includes:

  • Opening remarks by the WHO European Centre for Environment and Health 
  • Introduction to the HEAT tool -  Prof. Sonja Kahlmeier, Expert in physical activity, sustainable transport, healthy cities, and a consultant with WHO  
  • Use cases and case studiesHon. Prof. Nick Cavill, Honorary Professor, Department of Social & Policy Sciences, University of Bath  
  • Q&A session and exchange with participants.  

The training session will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation into Russian and will last around 1 hour 45 minutes. Once registered, you will automatically receive Zoom connection details.
