The Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, has issued the following depositary notification:
C.N.570.2020.TREATIES-XI.A.16 (English, French) of 22 December 2020, informing that, on 16 December 2020, the Arab Republic of Egypt has deposited its instruments of accession to the TIR Convention, 1975. In accordance with its Article 53, paragraph 2, the Convention will enter into force for Egypt on 16 June 2021. With the accession of Egypt, the TIR Convention will have seventy-seven contracting parties.
