IRU has informed the ECE secretariat that, as of 27 August 2020, the TIR system will become active for Oman. With this latest addition, the number of TIR operational countries will be brought to 64. The competent authorities have authorized the Oman National Transport Company (Sinyar/099) to act as TIR issuing and guaranteeing association for Oman.
