On 29 June 2020, the Special Envoy participated in an online coordinating meeting with representatives from the World Bank, including the Vice President for South Asia Region, Mr. Hart Schafer, and the Vice President for Infrastructure, Mr. Makthar Diop, as well as the UNECE Executive Secretary, Ms. Olga Algayerova, and representatives from the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile.
The following agenda items were discussed:
• Social Impact Financing for Road Safety;
• Regional Road Safety Observatories;
• Possible Webcast on financing for road safety in context of Covid-19 and post Covid-19;
• Potential joint country initiatives with the UNRSF.
