On 14 November 2022, the Special Envoy met with H.E. Mr. Indra Mani Pandey, Permanent Representative of India to the UN in Geneva. On the occasion, the Special Envoy recommended that India put safe and sustainable transport on the agenda of the G20 in 2023; raised the topic of the road safety situation in the Southeast Asia Region and India as well as recommended solutions; and encouraged engagement with the UNRSF.
