The United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety met with the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims (FEVR) in Brussels on 26 September. The meeting was an opportunity for the Special Envoy to outline his goals and priorities, as well as to discuss key issues for FEVR members. Among other topics, the agenda included the promotion of the World Day of Remembrance of Traffic Victims, to be held on 15 November, and the support for the campaign Let’s Go that aims at introducing an European target the to reduce the serious injuries related to road crashes. In addition to this, the FEVR members explained the difficulties of the families affected by road crashes to access to justice.
