A new UN capacity-building project for transition economies took off!
UNECE leads a multi-agency project to support UNECE member States to harness the power of trade and economic cooperation in their circular economy transition. The project will help countries address challenges and harness opportunities in key target areas, including traceability of supply chains, innovation-enhancing procurement, and the management of waste, including food loss and waste-related infrastructure. Find out more about the project on the UNECE website.
The High-Level Regional Policy Dialogue brought together over 200 participants to kick off the project and chart the way forward to in-depth discussions on the gaps and potentials member States experience in the transition to a circular economy. This meeting also contributed to the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) (side event). The meeting agenda, available in English and in Russian, can be found here.
