The workshop discussed the importance of improving equitable access to water and sanitation in Bulgaria, introduced the concept and methodology for carrying out a self-assessment of equitable access applying the Equitable Access Score-card and shared experiences from other countries which have already worked under the framework of the Protocol on Water and Health on improving the situation of equity of access.
The workshop also facilitated an exchange of views on how the UNECE/WHO-Europe Protocol on Water and Health could be useful for Bulgaria.
