The objective of the information session was to introduce the intergovernmental platform provided by the Protocol on Water and Heath, and its activities and tools. Presentations by country representatives illustrated the role of the Protocol in advancing the national water, sanitation, hygiene and health agenda, stimulating coordinated action on the 2030 Agenda and the human rights to water and sanitation and preparing for and recovering from infectious water-related disease outbreaks, such as COVID-19.
