UNESCAP and UNECE organized a  UNNExT Workshop on Implementing UN/CEFACT e-Business Standards in Agricultural trade to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 21 December 2015. This workshop is designed to introduce participants to eBusiness standards in agricultural trade and will also present and discuss the forthcoming UNNExT Handbook on Implementing UN/CEFACT eBusiness Standards in Agricultural Trade. The adoption of the latest electronic Business messages and standards for agricultural trade can help to address the inefficiencies in agricultural supply chains. Participants will be introduced to four e-Business standards for agricultural trade, namely e-CERT for electronic management and exchange of sanitary and phytosanitary certificates, FLUX for electronic management and exchange of fishery information, e-LAB for electronic management and exchange of laboratory analysis information and e-CITES for electronic management and exchange of CITES permits and certificates. These concepts also provide new opportunities for agriculture trade of developing countries.
