The workshop is organized jointly by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The workshop will bring together representatives from national Ministries, national urban policymakers, local officials from Bishkek, and academia. The aim of this workshop is to discuss the challenges to and opportunities for achieving sustainable urban development in the city of Bishkek, especially in relation to the sustainable management of natural resources.
