Workshop Organizers: Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute (PGI-NRI) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in cooperation with the Department of Geology and Geological Concessions of the Polish Ministry of the Environment.

Workshop objective: to build capacity on UNFC-2009, which is a simplified, generic and user-friendly version of UNFC-2004. The practical application of UNFC-2009 to selected deposits in the Polish mining sector will be discussed in detail. Attention will also be given to the efforts of Poland to harmonize its terminology with that of the UNFC. Whilst Poland will be the key focus of the event, there will also be an opportunity to discuss the application of UNFC-2009 in other countries of the region.
