The European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law’s (IMPEL’s) 15th Seminar on Lessons Learnt from Industrial Accidents was organized by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion of France’s Bureau for Analysis of Industrial Risks and Pollutions (BARPI). The seminar took account of past industrial accidents in France, Germany, Italy and Slovenia and involved exchanges of expert information and knowledge for the prevention of future accidents. UNECE delivered a presentation on the Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents, related UNECE safety guidelines and good practices, the Assistance and Cooperation Programme, recent events organized under the Convention and the Industrial Accidents Notification (IAN) System.
