Within the framework of the European Union funded EU4Environment programme (2019-2022), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is supporting the six beneficiary countries, including Ukraine, in building adequate capacities for the effective and systematic application of SEA. In Ukraine, these activities include of the preparation of Guidelines on Strategic Environmental Assessment for Urban Planning Documents The meeting will bring together representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine (MEPNR), and several other stakeholders including both government agencies, design institutes and non-governmental organizations.

The objective of the meeting is to briefly present the first draft of the Guidelines and to discuss comments to the draft by MEPNR and other relevant stakeholders.
