Seminar on Major legislative dilemmas for implementing the Espoo Convention and its Protocol on SEA in UNECE region and ways to address them in national legislation

The seminar took place on 20 January 2015. The aim was to present the requirements of the Espoo Convention and its Protocol on SEA to national officials and experts and engage them in discussions about potential challenges in transposing those requirements into the national legislation of the Russian Federation. Similar experience in other countries of the UNECE region was discussed. 

The seminar was followed by the Round-table meeting on Technical Advise to support drafting of EIA and SEA legislation in the Russian Federation on 21 January 2014 (see agenda of the meetings in English, and Russian).
