Breakfast Meeting hosted by Minister of Enterprise and Innovation of Sweden and other meetings with road safety stakeholders

During his stay in Stockholm, the Special Envoy attended a breakfast meeting hosted by the Minister of Minister of Enterprise and Innovation of Sweden and met with other road safety stakeholders: 
Breakfast Meeting with Swedish Manufacturers’ representatives hosted by Ms. Anna Johansson, Minister of Enterprise and Innovation of Sweden
On 15 June, the Special Envoy participated at the meeting which brought together representatives of Swedish automotive industry to further discuss the industry’s contribution to Vision Zero in the light of UN Sustainable Development Goals. The following participants were present at the meeting:

Ms. Lotte Brondum, Executive Director of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety 
The Special Envoy congratulated Ms. Brondum in organizing a successful bi-annual conference in Kuala Lumpur and thanked her for the strong partnership. Ms. Brondum invited the Special Envoy to participate again in the NGO Advocates training taking place in August. 
Meeting with Professor Wong Shaw Voon, Director of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS)
The Special Envoy thanked Dr. Wong for the support MIROS provided during his mission to Malaysia in April, including the co-organizing of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety Meeting and the hosting of the Regional Road Safety Workshop on Helmets which the Special Envoy organized with UNECE and ESCAP in Kuala Lumpur. As a follow up to the visit to Malaysia, the Special Envoy inquired about progress on the recommended activities discussed with the Minister of Transport as well as the UN Country Team, during which MIROS participated.
