Introduction
Standards can help to achieve the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development. By incorporating into product standards aspects of circular economy or gender equality, the resulting products should be produced fully integrating these aspects. This is demonstrated through the WP.6 gender-responsive standards work.
WP.6 strives to contribute among others to improving gender equality (SDG 5), fostering decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), providing quality infrastructure (SDG 9), supporting circular economy approaches (SDG 12), and working through partnerships (SDG 17).
In Focus
The Standards4SDGs Portal has over 21000 standards mapped to the SDGs and provides case stories on how SDGs have assisted in achieving the SDGs.
