The introduction workshop and on-site training are organized as part of the UNECE projects on strengthening the safety of mining operations, in particular tailings management facilities (TMFs), in Kazakhstan (2018-2019) and Tajikistan (2019-2020) and beyond in Central Asia. The projects are financed by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment under the Assistance and Cooperation Programme of the UNECE Industrial Accidents Convention.
