The global workshop on ecosystem-based adaptation took place on 29-30 April 2019 in Geneva.
The workshop had the following objectives:
- analyse the value, limits and conditions for ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA);
- discuss how EbA can particularly help in transboundary basins, as a low or no regret measure;
- share good practices, experiences and lessons learned with EbA from basins around the world;
- provide the participants with initial tools for EbA through interactive exercises and case studies.
The global workshop was followed by the tenth meeting of the Task Force on Water and Climate, which was held on 1 May 2019 in Geneva.
