3rd EPR ongoing
- In 2019, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan requested UNECE to carry out a third EPR of the country.
- A preparatory mission took place 17-20 November 2019. UNECE consulted with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources on the structure of the review and the EPR process for the third EPR of Azerbaijan.
- UNECE built a team of international experts. The country review mission took place from 15 to 23 November 2021. The UNECE Expert Group on EPRs reviewed the recommendations of the third EPR of Azerbaijan at its meeting in Tbilisi on 15-16 September 2022. At its Special Session (Nicosia, 3-4 October 2022), the UNECE Committee on Environmental Policy peer-reviewed and adopted the EPR recommendations of the third EPR of Azerbaijan (EN).
- The third EPR of Azerbaijan was published in January 2024 and launched during the UNFCCC COP29 in Baku. Publication link.
