Seminar on the International TIR Data Bank (ITDB)
The UNECE secretariat, in cooperation with the TIR Executive Board, is organizing a seminar on the International TIR Data Bank (ITDB) to be held on 14 June 2018 in Geneva (Room XII), in conjunction with the 149th session of the UNECE Working Party on Customs Questions affecting Transport (WP.30).
The Seminar aims at introducing the latest version of the ITDB, launched in May 2017, and raising awareness about the possibilities and benefits of the ITDB for the TIR system. It is designed for the senior officials from the customs and the guaranteeing associations responsible for decision making on TIR matters and the current or potential users of the ITDB. The Seminar will include presentations and a demo on the ITDB modules by the TIR secretariat as well as presentations from TIR Contracting Parties on their experience with the use of ITDB. More detail can be found in a provisional programme.
English, French and Russian will be the working languages. Full simultaneous interpretation from/into these languages will be provided. Participation is free of charge for registered participants, but participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements and cover their travel costs, accommodation and other personal expenses. Each participant must as early as possible register via following link for the WP.30 session.
