TIR SEMINAR

The Finnish Customs Administration, in cooperation with the TIR Executive Board, is organizing a training seminar on the Construction of Customs secure vehicles for TIR operations. The seminar will be held on 18-19th of June 2013 in Helsinki.
The seminar aims at capacity building of competent authorities to facilitate a more effective implementation of the relevant provisions of the TIR Convention. It is designed for Customs officials from the Contracting Parties of the TIR Convention who are responsible for the approval and control of TIR vehicles, but it is also open to officials responsible for Customs and transport policies. The first day of the seminar can also be attended by participants of private companies interested in the topic. The seminar will include presentations by Customs experts from various countries as well as by representatives of the TIR Executive Board and UNECE TIR secretariat.
English and Finnish will be the working languages. Full simultaneous interpretation into / from these languages will be provided.
