On 11 November 2020, the Special Envoy met with H.E. Mr. Jürg Lauber, the Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.
Upon opening the discussion, the Special Envoy congratulated Switzerland for 43% decrease in road traffic fatalities between 2010 and 2019 and provided an overview of the road safety situation.
Thereafter, the Special Envoy highlighted the regional and global goals for road safety, and the required increased commitments. The Special Envoy also shared about the UN Road Safety Fund activities and projects.
