Gender Activities

• Providing forum for regional reviews of Beijing Platform for Action and exchange of good practices in mainstreaming gender into economic policies: Beijing+5; Beijing +10; Regional Symposium; Economics of Gender at the UNECE sixty-second Anniversary Session.
  
  
• Promoting women’s entrepreneurship and gender sensitive SME policies: Regional Forums of Women Entrepreneurs; capacity-building workshops; dissemination of good practices in financing women’s businesses and improving their access to ICT; building synergies with CECI programme on Enterprise Development.
  
  
• Mainstreaming gender into subregional economic cooperation through the Working Group on Gender and Economy within the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).
  
  
• Developing methodologies, collecting gender-disaggregated data, and training on gender statistics within the Gender Statistics programme.
