8 December - The documentation
for the fourth session of the Working Party on Industry
and Enterprise Development is now available and can be downloaded
.
14 October - The UNECE Team
of Specialists on Industrial Restructuring has decided
to postpone the Workshop on "Policy and regulatory options
for promoting industrial restructuring" initially scheduled
for 28 October 2002. The Workshop will take place on 23 April
2003.
3 September: The First Forum
on Youth: Opportunity, Security and Prosperity;
took place on 26-28 August 2002 in Geneva. The Forum was organised
by the TOS on Entrepreneurship on Poverty Alleviation. .
3 May – The first inaugural meeting
of the UNECE took
place on 26 April in Geneva. The Team discussed and adopted
its and agreed on the priorities of its implementation.
It also agreed to organize a Workshop on “Policy and regulatory
options for promoting industrial restructuring” on 28 October
2002 in Geneva.
2 May -The second meeting of the took place on 25
April. The Team discussed the status of preparations for the
Seminar on “Analysis, Methodology of Treatment and Remediation
of Contaminated Soils and Groundwater”, Paris, France, 2003.

18 February - The
third session of the Working Party on industry and Enterprise
Development (WP.8) was held in Geneva on 14 and 15 February
2002. The meeting established two new Teams of Specialists
on Industrial Restructuring and on Quality Management Systems,
and adopted its programme of work for the period 2002 - 2003.

first Meeting of National Coordinators on Youth Entrepreneurship
took place in Geneva on 12 February.
14 February – The
Workshop on E-regulatory Framework for Transition Economies
was organized in Geneva on 13 February by the Team of Specialists
on Internet Enterprise Development
