8 November - The third session of WP.8 will take place at Palais des Nations in Geneva on 14 and 15 February 2002. The session will be preceded by a Round Table on Industrial Restructuring on 12 and 13 February. 8 November - The updated version of the UNECE Guidelines on Best Practice in Business Incubation can now be downloaded from the site of the Team of Specialists on Business Incubation.

16 October  - A UNECE Enterprise Development Week will be organized 22 - 29 October with the following meetings:

22 October: the First UNECE Forum on Women's Entrepreneurship.

23 October: Forum on Best Practice in the Development of Entrepreneurship and SMEs in Countries in Transition: the Polish Experience.

24 October: Forum on Best Practice in the Development of Entrepreneurship and SMEs in Countries in Transition: the Belarusian Experience.

25 and 26 October: Meeting of Experts on Best Practice in Creating Quality Systems for Enhancing the Competitiveness of SMEs.

29 October: the first session of the Team of Specialists on CHEMISEED.

October 12 - The draft text of the "UNECE Guidelines on Best Practice in Business Advisory Services" has been sent out to member States for final comments and corrections. For further information, please contact the secretariat.

October 11 -The Team of Specialists on Internet Enterprise Development held the first UNECE Workshop on E-Government in Budapest, Hungary on 7 and 8 November 2001.

October 10 - The second edition of the "UNECE Guidelines on Best Practice in Business Incubation" has now been published in English and Russian (ECE/TRADE/265, UN sales no. E.01.II.E.9, ISBN 92-1-116777-9). A PDF file will also be made available on this website. Please contact the secretariat for more details.

September 29 - The next session of the Team of Specialists on CHEMISEED will be held on 29 October 2001 at Palais des Nations. The meeting documents can be downloaded from the Team's page.

March 23 - The Working Party regrouped its activities under industrial restructuring, entrepreneurship and sustainable development. Find more in the Report of the meeting.

March 23 - The second session of the Working Party on industry and Enterprise Development (WP.8) was held in Geneva on 21 and 22 March 2001. The meeting agreed on a new programme of work for the UNECE for the period 2001 - 2002. The meeting documents can be downloaded here.
